Robron Centre, Robron Rd.
10am - 2pm
Join us in the Common Area of the Robron Centre for a free bring-a-book, take-a-book exchange, a demonstration of reading, education assistance dogs, first nations sing-a-long and art activity and additional interactive display
Family Place, Hemlock
10:15am -10:45am
Join us for a book walk at Family Place. Each child will get to take home a book.
Coho Books, Shoppers Row
11am - 12pm
Enjoy children's storytime with coffee, tea and goodies
Oyster River Elementary
11:30-12:00
Parents of students are invited for a Family Literacy "sing-along"
Strong Start Centres Cedar, Georgia Park, Sandowne, The Gathering Place and Sayward Strong Start Centres will be hosting special Family Literacy Day activies. Strong Start Centres will be running at their regular times see their schedule for details.
Schools and Preschools Rotarians will be visiting schools and preschools throughout the city to read to children as part of the program, "Rotarians Read."

Adult storytime: Tell us about your best loved books. Bring a pen and paper as you'll want to take notes of books of interest. Coffee/tea and goodies will be served.

Celebrate with us: Storytime at the Community Centre. We'll have our story carpet in the lobby. Join Joyce McMann and Claire Trevena for stories and fun.

Sing with us at the Community Centre. We'll have a guitar player and singers and fun for you and your family.

English or French speaking people interested in French literature or French culture please drop by for stories, discussions, coffee and tea. There will be events for both adults and children.

Campbell River Branch of Vancouver Island Regional Library 3:30 - 5:00pm Paws for Literacy: Visit us and read to the dogs! Our well-trained dogs are eager to hear some stories. Pre-register your reading-age child at the library for a 15 minute session. Call Elaine at 287-3655 for more information.
Strathcona Gardens 3:00 – 4:30 Storm hockey players will be reading to families and children. Watch for free hockey books - and maybe free tickets!
