My ESL Year
The first most important thing I did was choosing my tutor Andrea. I am so happy with my tutor. She is more than a tutor, she is a friend. I feel comfortable with her, so I could learn English more easily. I think Andrea is the best tutor in the class.
Becoming an ESL Tutor
It was curiosity that brought me here to these ESL workshops. I am gaining an understanding of what is expected from a tutor in this program. It seems that we are to play a more significant role in our tutees lives than I initially anticipated.
Proceed with an open mind
Richard Devison came to the Adult Literacy Program after he entered retirement. He thought it was finally time to do something he had always wanted to do. In January 2008, Richard graduated with his Adult Dogwood Certificate. This is his story.
